Greetings Trailmen/Family/Prospective Members,
We are less than a month away from our first meeting of the 2024-2025 season and we are excited to be in our final preparation phase. In fact, registration is now open at the direct link (here). To complete the full registration process make sure you register with both Trail Life Simi Valley AND Trail Life USA. New members, you will be able to do both using the registration link provided. Returning members will be able to register for Trail Life Simi Valley with the link provided above, then use your existing Trail Life Connect account to update your Trail Life USA registration.
If you have not done so already, please save the date for Tuesday, August 20th, at 6:15PM which will be our first regular meeting at NewHeart Church, 4200 Township Ave, Simi Valley, CA. We will kick off the season with our customary pneumatic rocketry construction and test launch activity and will simultaneously hold a troop orientation meeting for our new parents. We look forward to seeing you there.
What to expect next:
- Closer to the August 20th meeting date we will post a message with additional details to our Trail Life Simi Valley News section of our website at tlsv.org which will automatically send an e-mail out to our distribution list. If you are new to our troop this season or have not otherwise received these messages in the past please subscribe by entering your e-mail address in the field under the "Follow Us on Facebook" graphic on tlsv.org.
- Our 2024-2025 season calendar is now available to view (here). This includes our regular troop meetings, which take place on the first and third Tuesdays of each month, and place holders for several camping trips and hit the trail events. During our initial Officers Conferences (meeting of our senior youth troop leadership), they and our senior troop adult leaders will collectively select the venues which will be populated on an updated version of the calendar.
Other August meetings:
- PARENTS MEETING - Sunday, August 18th, 6:00PM at NewHeart Church, will be a returning parent's meeting to discuss activities for the year. New parents are welcome to join us too!
- LEADERSHIP ACADEMY - Saturday, August 24th, 1:00PM to 4:00PM at NewHeart Church, for our Navigators and Adventurer Trailmen only (middle school and high school aged members) will attend our Leadership Academy. More info will be provided as we get closer to that date.
