Seasons Greetings Trail Life Simi Valley,
We are still in uncertain territory in terms of scheduling due to the current lock down orders and I’m writing to keep you informed of the latest. Due to the existing orders we will not be holding any regular troop meetings during the month of December. As of now we are keeping the previously scheduled January events on the calendar but please understand this may change at any time. For those of you who were scheduled to teach during any of our December meetings please contact Adam Kanabe (Woodlands), Roland Szabo (Navigators), and Mark Williams (Adventurers) to reschedule to a later date.
Our last event of the year will be the Rusty Hike which is scheduled for this Saturday morning, Dec 19 from 8a to 11a. Additional event details can be found at (http://tlsv.org/event/rusty-trail-hike-simi-valley/?instance_id=198).
Our awards ceremony which was previously scheduled for Dec 8 is now tentatively scheduled for Tuesday Jan 26 at 6:30p at NewHeart Church. (We will update you as that date approaches with any changes)
So to recap, our current January dates are:
- Jan 5 – regular troop meeting
- Jan 10 – El Escorpion cave hike
- Jan 14-17 – car camping trip
- Jan 19 – regular troop meeting
- Jan 24 – hit the trail TBD
- Jan 26 – mid-season awards ceremony
