Trail Life Families,

We had an awesome “mustering patrols” meeting this past week, with our newly appointed Patrol Leaders taking command of their new integrated Patrols. We’ve got our, Alpha Annihilators, Bravo Bulls, and Charlie Chargers all formed up and ready for a new season! While our next regular troop meeting is still a week away (19-September 2023), we’ve got a Hit the Trail Bike ride this weekend, and a camping trip just a few weeks away.

In addition, thanks to our Officers Conference, and Dad suggestions— we’ve got a full calendar of Hit the Trails and Campouts scheduled, with more details forthcoming as we get closer to the events— but I’d like to invite you to download our updated Printable Troop Calendar, or Look at the events pages for up-to-date information about each event (and to Register for Each event). While we will also have SIGNUPS for each of our Hit the Trails and Camping Trips at our next few meetings, we’d like you to Register and pay online for these events as we begin to post them to the website.

Dad's we’re asking you to be a part of these amazing events with your Trailmen— this amazing Father/ Son bonding time is so needed in the lives of our boys (and for us dad’s too), so we hope you will prioritize making it to these events. We’ve also got a few all family events, where you can bring mom, and other non-trail life siblings (sisters, or other brothers) to be part of the fun.

Simi Wash Bike Ride - this Saturday September 16th @ 9am

Join us on Saturday for our First Hit the Trail Bike-ride of the season. We will start our bike ride this year @ “Duck Park” (Rancho Simi Community Park), but unlike past years, our ride will head WEST (towards Madera) on the bike path (as some of the eastern sections of the Arroyo are closed for construction). We will be meeting at 9am and should be back to the park area by about 10:30 or 11am. Bring your bike (or scooter) and some water for this fun, flat bike ride with the Troop! Tapo Canyon Camping - September 22 and 23rd (Friday - Sunday Morning)

As was announced at our troop meeting, our first camping trip of the season is here! We will be camping at the Tapo Canyon Park, right on the edge of Simi Valley...so this is a perfect first time camping trip for all of our Trailmen and Dads. This car camp is at the end of Tapo Canyon Road, and during our time we will have outdoor activities including Rope-work, Knife Safety and Archery. We'd love to have all of our Trailmen (and Dads) join us for this first trip, so please reach out to Pastor Brian if cost is an issue. Cost is $45 per person, or $90 per family (even if you've got more than one son attending) and includes campsite fees and food. For full details, and to register for this (Please register ASAP!), visit the event page »
