Troop,

We've got a lot of great things coming up as a troop, and I don't want you to miss out!

Gun Safety this Tuesday Night

As a reminder, this Tuesday evening, our Trailmen will be learning all about Gun Safety and how to safely respond to finding a gun, or handling one. This incredible life-skill in knowing how to handle these situations could be the difference between life and death for your Trailmen— so don't miss it!

Archery Hit the Trail Schedule Change - 21 October 2018

For those of you who were planning on being part of our Archery Hit the Trail— we've got good news and bad news.  The good news is we were able to secure the same great instructor we had last year for archery. Whether you have never shot before or have some experience, this is a chance to improve your skills with a certified USA Archery instructor, Coach Bill Davis.

The bad news, is Bill was not available at our originally scheduled date, so we've moved our event to 21-October from 1-2:30pm.  Registration is now open— and we have an extremely limited space available for this event of just 25 spots. (Because of this limit, we're asking for you to register just for the Trailmen first, and if space permits, we can allow the dads to shoot— please register for the appropriate number of spots.  Cost is $20 per person. Register Now for Archery

Backpacking Trip - Little Jimmy Campground - 25-27 October

Our very first camping trip of the season will be a backpacking camping trip...and you really wont want to miss it.  We will be heading to the Little Jimmy Campground in the Angeles Forest, and because of that the cost is FREE.  Backpack camping does have it's own set of challenges— but this trip will be a perfect introduction to backpack camping, with just a 2 mile hike in from our cars, and a fairly developed camping area with Pit toilets available. As always, please consult the Backpack Packing list for specifics on what you will need.   In addition to the regular items— each vehicle will need to have an annual "Adventure Pass" that can be purchased at Big5 or REI— car-pooling may be an option.  We'll discuss this more at our troop meeting this week, but if you're planning on coming, please RSVP to let us know you're coming.  RSVP HERE.
