Rusty Hike

In Preparation of our High Adventure Backpacking trip this May, we've got a great hike to prepare you!  Even if you're not going to Sespe, this will be fun— but if you are, please bring your backpack so you can get used to hiking with your pack.

Las Llajas/Rusty Trail Hike
Date:  SUNDAY March 10, 2019
Time Block: 2-5pm (meet at the trailhead!)
What to bring:  backpack, appropriate apparel for hiking based on the weather conditions for that day
Approx. Distance:  7 miles

What to put in backpack
Foxes:  compass (required for learning how to shoot azimuths), map, food, water, jacket (total weight should be approx. 5 lbs)
Hawks: compass (required for learning how to shoot azimuths), map, food, water, jacket, sleeping bag (total weight should be approx. 10 lbs)
Mountain Lions: compass (required for learning how to shoot azimuths), map, food, water, pants, jacket, sleeping bag, sandals (total weight should be approx. 15-20 lbs)
Navigators: compass (required for learning how to shoot azimuths), map, food, water, pants, jacket, shirt, sleeping bag, sandals, rope (total weight should be approx. 20-25 lbs)
Dads: 1000 lbs. 😉

Patrol Level Camp (Sycamore Canyon)

This camp will provide the opportunity for patrols to work together, build relationships and grow stronger together.  We have 32 spots reserved for this camp and we're hoping to have all of the spots filled.  If you haven't registered and plan on attending, please click on the link below to get registered.   Please make sure to register no later than 3/8/2019 so that the troop can plan ahead for the food since the meals will be provided.

Meeting Place: NewHeart @1pm (For those that want to carpool or want to go as a caravan please try to be there by 1pm)

Cost: $30 pp (includes meals from Saturday - Sunday, and 4 parking spots, each additional car costs $12)

Checkin: Friday 3/15 2pm

Checkout: Sunday 3/17 Noon
