Hello Trail Life Parents,
And now to get right to the point: -- We need you! This doesn't happen without Dads (and Uncles, Grandfathers)! We have our first parent's meeting of the season next week, Tuesday, August 31st at 6:15 PM at Newheart Church. Please join us there to cover some important information and make this year another great success. This will not be a regular meeting where the Trailmen attend- This is meeting is parents only.
Some of you can do something every meeting, maybe others have work schedules that only allow you to pitch in a couple times a year. That's okay, if everyone pitches in a bit, great things happen.
Specifically we are looking for dads to help share from their experience or passion. Maybe you already know something, from your job or other experiences. Maybe you're a master chef and could help improve our outdoor cooking,.... Maybe you're a paramedic and could teach first aid... Maybe you're an expert carpenter and could help with the wood tools unit.... whatever you're an expert at, can you step up for one evening? If we all do something, everyone's kids benefit.
And don't limit yourself to what's in the books or on the schedule,. If you know a great trail, a great wilderness camp, a great museum -- if you have any kind of special access to some institution (I'm fondly remembering a certain fire station tour here!) -- something we could build an activity around -- Speak up!
