Hello Trail Life Families,
Our Dad's meeting scheduled for Sunday August 13th at 6PM will now take place at NewHeart Church, 4200 Township Ave, Simi Valley, CA. As stated in Pastor Brian's previous message, in our meeting we will be discussing our troop level positions, troop activities and general troop leadership for this upcoming season. Our troop is only as good as our Dad’s who bring their unique ideas and vision to the troop— so we’d love to see as many dads (and uncles or grandpas) as possible at our event. Again, this meeting will happen at NewHeart church...not Pastor Brian's house.
The first regular meeting of the season is Tuesday, August 15th at 6:15PM, also at NewHeart Church. Registration is currently open at this (link). As always, this first meeting is the perfect location to learn more about the troop, and we will have a full parent meeting (for moms and/or dads) to answer any questions about our program, or to help you get registered for the new season.
For our Navigators (middle school) and Adventurer (high school) Trailmen only, we will hold our Leadership Academy on Saturday, August 19th at 1PM, at NewHeart Church. Normally we end around 4PM. During this training session we will discuss leadership and followership, leadership styles, and youth leadership positions, just to name a few. This is also the opportunity for the Trailmen to request what leadership position they will hold within the troop for the season. Trailmen should be in uniform for this academy. In the event your Trailman can not attend please e-mail me at ryan@tlsv.org as soon as possible for further instructions on academy make up and submitting leadership position requests.
