Crawdad Fishing at the Creek
Our Hit the Trail scheduled for Saturday Feb 17th is being rescheduled due to soggy trail conditions. We are currently aiming for the following week Saturday February 24th pending weather updates . (The Wildwood park trails are often closed in and after heavy rains to reduce damage to the trails). As was announced at our last troop meeting, we will be meeting early @ 8am at the Trailhead.
Hit the Trail Details:
For our hike, we’ll be going to Paradise Falls in Thousand Oaks, starting from Wildwood Park. We’ll meet at the Parking lot at 928 W Avenida De Los Arboles, Thousand Oaks, CA 91360. We’ll open up with prayer, and then hit the trail. The Trailhead for “Indian Creek” is a block or so up Avenida de Los Arboles (but there is no parking in-front of the trailhead). The Trailhead slopes down with the destination of Paradise Falls, with several water ponds along the way that we will stop to look for Crawdads.
Feel free to bring a stick or pole with fishing line and some hot dogs (which can be used as bait), and a fishing net to scoop up any crawdads. Warm clothing and shoes that can get wet are advisable for this event as well!
Are you planning to come? Reply to this email to let us know so we can wait for you at the Trailhead.
We’re looking forward to this fun adventure— Hope to see you on the Trail with us!
I thought this was now going to be lazertag.
Are we going back to the original crawdad activity or ????
I haven’t received any email information on either event but my son Christian was signed up for the lazertag at the last meeting.
Per our announcement at the last troop meeting, we are shifting to laser tag… see the email from tonight. http://tlsv.org/2024/hit-the-trail-laser-tag-saturday-feb-24-2024/
