USS Midway Overnight Camp – Updated date: December 3rd
Join us as we have a once-in-a-lifetime experience touring, eating, and sleeping in the enlisted racks on the USS Midway this December. We will be arriving to the Midway for the evening on-boarding, and will stay the night aboard the ship and have a customized tour. Cost is $110 per person (including dads).
UPDATED DETAILS (Updated Nov 29, 2022)
Current Midway COVID Safety Measure Advisory - Effective February 15th, 2022, masks will not be required for guests while they are on board. If you have not been fully vaccinated, you are recommended to wear a facial covering. By coming on board the USS Midway Museum without a facial covering, you are self-attesting that you are complying with the vaccination requirements.
The Midway Overnight Adventure is a structured event, with guided tours, behind-the-scenes excursions throughout the ship and hands-on activities. Check in starts at 6:00 PM on the pier and boarding begins at 6:30 PM. Our programs concludes at 9:30 AM the following morning.
We provide a evening snack box and hot breakfast. Note: Our food service vendor is not able to guarantee that their food is prepared in a nut free environment. All Gluten-free food will be marked as such. You are welcome to bring your own food and snacks. Food and snacks are not permitted in the guest sleeping spaces. We will provided an container on the hanger bay for each group to store their snacks. Limited refrigerator space is available for guests who need to bring their own meal due to dietary restrictions.
Berthing (sleeping) will be in the authentic berths used by the enlisted sailors when this ship was active duty. It is dormitory style. We have separate Heads (restrooms) for males and females, but there are no Rain Lockers (shower) available.
Evening behind the scenes tours end at 9:45 PM, but early berthing is OK. Taps (lights out) will be at 10:15 PM. Reveille(wake up call) is at 6:00 AM.
